Germany 2011

Too much time had passed since my last overseas adventure, so I committed to make my inaugural trip to Europe.  My friend Josh, always the intrepid traveler and the foremost expert on international roadtrips, joined me for the first week.  Also, my brother Corey had recently departed for Bremen, Germany, for a semester studying abroad for his Master's program.  We had a mutual goal to visit my mother's hometown in Germany.  The rest of the trip was left to the imagination.

I've split the pictures into two sets:

  • Germany Week One
Josh and my travels through Bavaria, Tyrolean Austria, and part of the Czech Republic (including Prague).  We covered over 1,300 miles in seven days, and saw many amazing cities and beautiful countrysides in the Alps.
  • Germany Week Two
I met Corey in Stuttgart, then visited our Mutti's hometown of Gammertingen.  We then toured the Black Forest region before catching a train to Corey's home-away-from-home in Bremen.  I spent a couple days checking out Berlin on my own, then met Corey for one final day in Hamburg before flying home.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

  1. WOW, I WISH I COULD BEEN THERE TOO AGAIN. HAVE TRAVELED DIE ROMANTISCHE STRASSE AND ALL OF ROTENBURG .
    VERY NICE PICTURES. LOVED IT.

    • Vielen Dank fuer die schoenen Bilder von Deinem Besuch zum Vaterland. I had much fun looking at them while realizing that on “our” next visit together you must be the tour guide while I read the signs and menus to you. You could also invite Josh. He looks like great fun. By the way, picture 250-251 should be posted on match.com. You are sooo handsome. Why hide that face, those blue eyes…………and, when your future Juliet hears that voice of yours she’ll come-a-runnin.
